Project Overview
Master Plan
The Long Center's Master Plan accommodates incremental expansion from the center outward, minimizing impact on the Long Center's initial components. Phase 1 included a large concert hall and a flexible studio theatre. A future phase includes a rehearsal hall and support space and an intermediate-size theatre.

Stan Haas, FAIA, who became the Director of Design for Nelsen Partners, leads the firm's effort on The Long Center. In 2000, TeamHaas Architects was awarded the Firm Achievement Award from the Austin Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for their advocacy for The Long Center. Haas and Nelsen Partners continue their commitment to design excellence in transforming the icon of old Palmer into the new Long Center for the Performing Arts.
